Hi There,
I notarized a quitclaim deed today and after I left I realized that I did not write "Notary Public" after my name on the acknowledgement. Is this something that another person can fill in for me or do I need to make arrangements to do it personally? This quitclaim deed will be filed in Clark County, Nevada.
Thanks for the help.

I really don't think it will make any difference. I know that the wording states that the notary's name and title, i.e. Notary Public, are supposed to be in the acknowledgment, but Nevada does not require that information. Of course, you never know what will come of it, since you probably will never hear anything about it. If you do, then you can fix it. I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. :)

Thank you, Paul. I won't worry about it but I will be diligent about it in the future.

Yeah, don't sweat it and just be more diligent next time. Chances are, nobody is going notice or care, especially since it is going out of state. That's where you luck out with this one. Since it is going to be filed out of state, the strict compliance doesn't really apply.
One thing I would mention, though, is NEVER tell anyone or allow anyone to make changes to your notarial certificates. Besides, if you're doing it properly, there shouldn't be any room for anyone to add words of any kind. Sometimes those blanks are really long... so you should "close up that space" with dashes or lines. Something like this:

Excellent suggestion, Marian. I will make sure to double-check my acks. in the future.
